Thats a crazy amount of water! I had no idea the car park at buff creek was swamped. I was down at East Point late that afternoon, with the combination of the all that water and gale force westerly winds that day there were some fair size waves pounding the cliffs, the noise from them sounded like thunder when I first pulled up in my car.

Myself and my mate Nigel deicided that would be a good tide to explore No. 6 Creek after a rather smooth shoal bay boat ride (not quite the washing machine we were expecting) got to tea tree point and were smashed by 3 fronts converging at once over our heads, it is quite amazing how fast a boat can fill with water when that happens, had to moor the boat on the beach as the bilge pump was not quite up to the task off emptying the boat, upon inspection tea tree leaves had fairly blocked the intake once cleared pump was back to normal, decided to cancel the fishing and head back to the boat ramp as the sea had gone to poop and we didn't feel like making the trip back in the Dark, got back to Buff creek still being punished by the waves all the way to the Ramp
