daly river to Peron island adventure 2009

Post by harmsey »

Well what an easter it was. 8-) 8-) Myself, the missus and Katie packed up the camping gear and headed to banyan farm to fish the daly. Dodgyone, his missus and 2 kids came down and joined us for a few days also. The fishing was realy good with a keeper coming from the 3rd cast of the day followed by 10 rats in the next 20 casts  . :catch: Live baits returned around 10-15 legal barra per day for 3 days and lures worked well on sunset and sunup with no fish and bamboo creek returning the biggest numbers. Ran into a few FFFers down there and had a good yarn with em all. :drinking2:

After our time at the daly was up myself dodgy and 2rods hit Dundee with shane and Jordan hitting the water in their boat with us. The weather was nowhere near as good as I thought and it was a tuff run down to the Perons :sailing: . Lost contact with shane and JD as my ariel was playing up so not sure how they ended up. Found some good ground out wide and did it pretty tuff but still landed a few good keepers. Got back to the ramp to find most people where doing it tuff as well with very little fish in the trailer.

All in all a great easter spent with the family and friends with lots of fish caught by all. :drinking2: :drinking3:  8-)

Top stuff guys,
I was looking forward to the report from that trip after 2rods said he was going. Looks like Harmsey and Dodgy are well and truly on the Barra Comp board for April, fantastic.
Great report with some excellent photos.

I contend that where you fish is the
most important factor in catching fish.

Hi
Looking pretty closely, I think I am in the boat with a blue canopy, In your 3rd photo, taken at no fish creek.
