Hi guys
Took my young fella for a fish this morning at Larrakeyah. Not much around so we left a bait out soaking. Next thing you know the rod is bent in half and the line screaming from the reel. This thing just took off. My young fella on the rod just watching the line peel off. We tightened the drag and it still kept going. With a small amount of line left on the reel we turned the fish and bought it in.
My young fella was stoked and now decided that he really likes fishing.
Any way a few quick photos and then released the fish to fight another day.

Good on you and the young bloke. I don’t think people who live here realise how lucky they really are.
I grew up in the middle of NSW 3 hrs to the coast where you could bring in a huge bream maybe 2 lb.

G'day Milt
He was caught on fresh squid.
Unforntunatly unlessyou know someone in the defence who can get you on or have a boat to get you near the wall closest to doctor's gully you can't get to them.
But from what i have heard they are all along the foreshore at the moment right around to the wharf area back to East point
