First, I'd like to allay any fears that the old blogs are gone and lost. They are not. For any interested member I can recreate the old posts on your new blog for you. Just leave a post in this thread requesting it, along with the title of your old blog, and any other details you want to provide.

The timeframe for restoring posts will depend on my workload at the time, as well as the number of posts involved, and the number of restoration requests we get. I will get to your blog, but you may not have all your old posts for a week or two. Sorry for the inconvenience, prioritizing these things is always a balancing act.

In any case, as I said just drop a note here and I'll add your blog to the list that are restored. Thanks!

I cant create a new blog keeps saying only lowercase can be used, and yes I understand what that means and my caps is definately not on, infact I nearly knocked it through the desk..............

@whomper37, Which field is it throwing the error for, the url of the blog? If so, what string are you trying to use there?

I need you to post the information that you tried to enter into those fields, not post a copy of the fields themselves. I know what the page says, I need to know what you put into the page so I can figure out why you got the error.

You can't put http:/fishingterritory.com/blogs in the first field. You're choosing the url for your own blog, which logically would be something like your username (so people can tell whose blog it is by the url). Try putting "whomper" in the first field, and "Swab the Decks" in the second (title) field.

Hi David thanks for your help, think the problem was the work computer worked 1st time at home??? Anyways can you transfer my old blog Swab the decks to my new one, also swab the decks.

Glad you got it worked out!

I'll add your old posts to the list. It will be several days before substantial numbers of posts are converted. TBH, it's a tedious manual process to do it, but I'll get it done for everyone who wants it as soon as I can.

I see you figured out the image uploading on your blog, and how to pick a theme. That's great. If you have additional questions about using the features you can ask in this forum (but not in this topic please). :drinking1:

Yep, added to the list. Old posts should start showing up in the next couple days. A lot of it will depend on how many other issues I have to work on, but it will get done.
