Kenbi land claim - latest info

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

Here's the latest map ... https://www.nlc.org.au/visiting-aboriginal-land/kenbi

Looks like One Fella and Two Fella Creeks are gazetted sacred sites and therefore have no access.

There is a link on the page to high-rez. I've just edited the first post and put it up there.

And here it is ... https://www.nlc.org.au/uploads/images/1 ... -FINAL.pdf

And NLC text ... https://www.nlc.org.au/visiting-aboriginal-land/kenbi

Looks like One Fella and Two Fella Creek access is history as they are marked as yellow (sacred sites). Only mentions Two Fella in the release.

So is jack attack! I hooked an 80cm tuna on that natural rock wall. Also out of bounds is the trout troll.

Yep, some good spots gone. Fewer places the public can fish with each passing year, meanwhile the federal government has record immigration under way. Do the maths, as they say ...

Can confirm both creeks are closed, from NLC, "if it is yellow, no access".

Good info..... thanks fellas.

It may or may not be, that I've been a naughty boy.
I screen shot the blurry original, but that was indecipherable.
The new hi-res is really good.

So other than the Darwin beaches, are Gunn Point and Cape Hotham are the only beaches that Territorian's can now access by boat? Is that correct?

You can access beaches in the purple and blue shaded areas up to the second dune or 50m from beach boundary if no dunes.
Purple areas allow camping on beaches. A lot of the more popular spots though now seem like no go areas.

Right you are, although 90% of that area is mangroves. But there are a couple of spots that have beaches, all the ones I have previously used or wanted to use are now no go. :fubird:
